Baldwin Management was established in 1999 by a group of investment, trust, brokerage and tax professionals who believed that they could best serve our clients operating as an independent advisory firm. Founded with the understanding that our clientele’s focus is intergenerational wealth creation and preservation, Baldwin Management LLC has always looked to the long term when making financial or tax recommendations. Baldwin believes in investing like “an owner” of a business when buying stocks of companies – because the best returns are generated when an owner allows an investment to grow. This investment philosophy combined with an intimate knowledge of the US tax code creates for Baldwin’s clients a “tax smart” management of assets with corresponding results.
In 2016, Baldwin merged with RKM Advisors, Inc to create RKM – A Baldwin Company. This allowed us to introduce our diversified management model to suburban Chester County. RKM uses a wide array of mutual funds to manage client portfolios, adding another arrow to Baldwin’s “investment quiver” and allowing us to offer clients an alternative to individual security portfolio management. Since this merger, Baldwin enlarged its money management business and brought a new discipline under “our tent.”
In 2018, Baldwin merged with Chester County Asset Management, Inc to create Chester County Asset Management – A Baldwin Company. This deepened our experience and management efforts in the West Chester area by utilizing a team with decades of investment experience and an investment management style tilted towards “value.” Their capabilities continue to bring a valuable market perspective to our firm’s investment strategies.
